As the Goverment is easing some rules about social distancing and a seminar-like set up is allowed when following some restrictions we decided to organise and go ahead with a new seminar about the Big Four of Argentine Tango. Some rules about the use of the space: -This is going to be a sit-and-listen activity, no dancing involved -The sitting will be arranged to keep the distance between the participants of 1.5 metres (as required by goverment regulations) -Couples will be allowed to sit close to each other. -Use of facemask is not obligatory but you can bring it if you feel safer with it -Payments are going to be taken on the day(please bring the exact change) -There is a limit to 30 participants, so please let us know in case you cannot attend last minute. -If you have Covid, have symptoms, or have been in contact (recently) with a known Covid case person or someone with symptoms, we kindly ask that you DO NOT participate in this event for the safety and health of the group. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What we often hear about Pugliese, D'Arienzo, Troilo and Disarli is that they are the "Big Four" tango orchestras, but Why? In this seminar we will explore some personal, aestetic, musical and historical aspects that made them part of this select group, "the big four". We will explain and identify 2 or 3 fundamental musical & expressive elements used often by the "big four" to create their own unique style. After this seminar you will be able to recognise some musical aspects of the "big four", get some useful information about the history of the orchestras and the historical context where they develop their style. Cost of the Seminar: 15 EUR per person - Please bring the exact change on the day.
