The freedom of being able to be yourself when you dance is the greatest feeling, though it doesn't come easy and may take years of practice to develop the skill to express what you have within...   but how amazing it is when such gifts can be shared and enjoyed with others!

Here is a video for those who get excited about musicality and musical expression. This is a great example of what we were discussing in our class at Tango on the Thames on Sunday 25th November, entitled "musical expression: quality of movement, cuts, pauses and changes in dynamics inspired by D'Arienzo and Di Sarli".  Here we see perfectly the sharp movement, cuts and pauses used to reflect the same qualities we hear in the music.

Great video of how energetic, vibrant, emotive, fun and non-stuffy tango can be and really was, demonstrated by no less than D'Arienzo himself.  The beauty of tango is that it has many faces and is full of contrasts. Elegance and 'mugre' go hand in hand and it takes the two to make tango tango!
