1) Follower's Technique detailed
To work on the fundamental pillars of follower's technique and improve precision, elegance, alignment, dissociation and free leg use.
LEVEL: suitable for all followers (with 1y+ experience)
Next Date: TBC


2) Complex Follower's Technique & Adornos
To practice complex exercises to streghten skill and agility and produce more balanced, graceful movements and embelishments.
LEVEL: suitable for followers (with 2y+ experience)
Next Date: Sunday 19 April (Part B)
We did part a on 5th April.  Part B is similar level and content to Part A but with different exercises.

Coherence is key!
In all workshops the focus in on practicing with awareness (not drilling!) to develop new inner-awareness and looking to find logic and comfort for ourselves, two things that sometimes get lost in all the information from taking hundreds of classes.

These workshop are intended to streamline your understanding and use of the body at all levels.

If you're ever confused about where the best place is to put your weight, how to align your axis and all that... here you are free to ask your questions and clear up confusions.
 
We will also discuss different styles.

Notice:
We ask you to please not record the workshop, although you may video short exercises for your reference.

Workshops are designed to allow students the opportunity to investigate and study important aspects of tango intensively.

ABOUT MARAL KOJAYAN
Maral’s intensive investigation and particular attention to the connection, organic movement, technical precision and to the quality of movement has led her to teach and perform in many cities around the world including Buenos Aires (at DNI, Loca Milonga, Practica 8, Maldita Milonga, CITA), London, Paris, New York, Berlin, Erfurt, Amsterdam, The Hague, Toronto and Montreal and many more.  Before Mariano, she worked with a number of internationally recognised talents and has taught at Tango Brujo, at DNI, el Esquinazo and ECUNHI in Buenos Aires and all around the world, not only in the tango community but in theaters, to celebrities and more, e.g.for the TV show Dancing On Ice.

Based for 7 years in Buenos Aires, 6 years in London and now recently moved to Rotterdam, Maral & Mariano continue to grow and develop their work.

Maral’s love for dance and her training began at the age of 4. Over the years she has studied many dance and movement forms including contemporary, ballet, tap, Armenian dance, salsa, yoga Alexander Technique and ice skating. Outside her tango achievements, maral has an AS level qualifications in Dance Analysis and Choreography and has been founder and long time chairperson of a large Armenian dance charity in London.
