Intermediate

Maral & Mariano's Intermediate lessons at Tango Garden are designed to have you understand how things work in Argentine Tango, so you don't have to memorise steps or figures to dance and can improvise.

As good grounding is essential for social dancing, we work on strengthening tango technique with exercises at the start of each lesson. We also put a great deal of emphasis on connection and communication, the use and direction of energy and how to allow the dance to happen between two, without force.

We explore close and not-so-close embrace during all our classes and discuss different styles, so that you can be versatile and more able to enjoy dancing with different people.

Many intermediate level dancers take the earlier 2pm improver lesson to benefit from working on the fundamentals before branching out into more complexity in this 3pm lesson.

We ask that new dancers who struggle in the improver level, not take this lesson and
we highly recommend that low intermediate dancers take the 2-3pm improver level class at Tango Garden in order to strengthen their skills.

Come alone or with a partner.
