DANCING:
Tango Garden has TWO rooms. So whether you like to socialise, just enjoy some nice dances, practice and investigate or a bit of everything,  Tango Garden is the place to be on a Saturday Afternoon.  You can quite literally have your cake and eat it !!

The Milonga 4-7pm - in the Band Room is an Argentine style 'Practica social' type Milonga a relaxed atmosphere informal dance space.  A very social space where the line of dance and circulation rules are respected for the enjoyment of all, but without the strict rules associated with ultra-traditional milongas (see FAQs for more).

The Pure Practice Room 5pm - in the Guide Hall is a pure practice space with background music without cortinas.  People are free to stop and discuss and work on anything they like.

MUSIC:
Great tango music in tandas with cortinas by our resident DJ Mariano*

REFRESHMENTS:
We usually have at least 3 home-made cakes (made from scratch by Mariano and/or Maral with good quality ingredients, such as free-range eggs). Plus tea/coffee, biscuits, sangria during the warmer months and other refreshments.  We happily put the time and effort in for the baking as a gesture of love and appreciation for all who attend Tango Garden.

We appreciate donations to cover the cost of  all the ingredients.

CARING FOR THE ENVIRONMENT:
We try to do our bit for the environment by investing a little more in cups (hot and cold) that are biodegradable (made of paper or vegetable starch).
We do not use disposable, single-use plastics.

CARING FOR EACH OTHER:
Please respect the rules of the Milonga dance floor for everyone's enjoyment and smooth flowing ronda. We encourage a friendly, caring, community oriented atmosphere, so if you see someone sitting a long while looking like they'd like to dance, take a chance and catch the second half of a tanda, you might be pleasantly surprised :)
So, we look forward to having you join us for some fantastic afternoons of tango dancing!
*OUR DJ MARIANO LAPLUME
besides being an experienced Tango dancer and teacher Mariano has a long history as a professional musician playing tango in more than 40 milongas in Buenos Aires and more than 80 cities around the world for almost 9 years.  He has been Djing regularly in different London Milongas and many more  cities in the UK, Argentina, Netherlands & Germany. We're lucky to have him!

"Tango Garden is wonderful! There is absolutely nothing I would like to change about the lessons, Maral's and Mariano's teaching is among the best I've ever had. I really like the atmosphere during the practica and the pure practice room. And there's cake, what's not to like?"
