1st/2nd Thursdays 19:30 - 20:30 - Close embrace focused material OCCASIONALLY: Saturdays 14:30 - 15:30 - Musicality & improvisation focus Saturdays 15:30 - 16:30 - Complex combination for the pista Each of these workshops has a different focus yet all include technical, connection and expressive elements, which we believe to be fundamental to good quality, enjoyable tango dancing. For us, workshops and lessons are never about memorising a sequence, rather always about deepening skills and understanding. The technique aspects help you to understand the workings of movement within each body and between the couple, the precise physics and "how to" of it all - using a particular sequence to help you study the application of technical understanding to dance well and improvise. We also pay special attention to expressive aspects include musical understanding, dynamics, developing sensitivity to connect better, rhythmic understanding, emotional expression and more. All these help you to learn to feel more, hear more, sense more and to dance more of what you feel. In addition, we believe it's important to learn to dance with good awareness of space, both within the embrace and the use of space on the dance floor. |

Practical information for monthly workshops
Level advice: Intermediate+ level material. Contents is often progressive, increasing in difficulty as the workshop progresses.
Improver level dancers working with a partner are welcome to participate and work at their own level together. Advanced dancers will also get a lot when working with their chosen partner. Workshops are not suitable for beginners.
Role balance: We recommend you arrange to come with a partner but you are welcome to register without a partner and we will match you up with someone of the opposite role.
Changing partners: You do not have to change partners. We may provide the occasional opportunity for changing in case some people want to, but there is no obligation to change.
Registration: Advanced registration is highly recommended and much appreciated. You may come with a partner on the day without having booked but we do not recommend that you "drop-in" without a partner as you may not have anyone to study with. Also, if you don't register, we won't know to contact you about any changes/updates so you should always check the workshop info page on the website on the day of the event.
Price: These are the standard prices unless stated otherwise on the specific workshop.
1h Workshop without Milonga = €14pp.
Thursday 1h Workshop + 3h Milonga = €16pp.
Saturday 1h Workshop + 3h Milonga = €16pp.
Saturday 2h Workshop + 3h Milonga = €26pp.
